ConfigBuild is a tool I built for the dealers who sell sheds, portable buildings, garages, and metal buildings. Their biggest problem is a simple one: a customer can't picture the building they're describing, and a salesperson burns hours redrawing quotes for people who were never going to buy. ConfigBuild puts a real-time 3D builder right on the dealer's website, so the customer does the imagining — and the asking — themselves.

The Problem It Solves

Selling a custom building is hard because it lives in the customer's head until the very end. They want a specific size, a certain roof, this siding, that door, painted to match the house — and they have no way to see it or know what it costs until a salesperson works it all up by hand. That back-and-forth is slow, it's expensive, and most of it goes nowhere. The shoppers who are actually ready get treated the same as the ones who are just curious.

What It Does

ConfigBuild lets a shopper build their building right in the browser. They set the dimensions, pick the roof and siding, place doors and windows, choose the colors — and watch a true-to-life 3D model take shape while the price updates live with every change. They can walk through it in first person, pull up a clean blueprint, and even generate a photoreal render of the finished building on their own lot. When it's exactly right, they share the design or send a quote request in a tap.

What It Gives the Dealer

Every one of those quote requests lands in a single dealer dashboard, already configured down to the last detail — so the salesperson stops drawing and starts closing. Instead of fielding vague phone calls and guessing at specs, the dealer gets a clean pipeline of serious leads who have already designed and priced what they want. The website goes from a brochure to the hardest-working salesperson on the lot, taking orders at midnight when the office is dark.

Why It Matters

ConfigBuild takes the slowest, most expensive part of selling a custom building and hands it to the customer — who actually enjoys it. The dealer sells more, wastes less, and looks far bigger than they are. It's a real product, live today, built to be sold to building dealers who want their website to finally pull its weight.
